Jennifer Reid – Back @ Barb’s
July 15 @ 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM BST
Join us on Saturday 15th July, as we welcome Jennifer Reid back to Heptonstall Museum.
Jennifer was last singing at the Museum, when both were looking very different. As ‘Barb’ in the recent critically acclaimed BBC Drama, “The Gallows Pole” (directed by Shane Meadows). Heptonstall Museum was her very own Ale House, ‘Barb’s’.
Jennifer Reid is now weaved into the Museum’s history herself.
For one night, we’re delighted to welcome back Barb to Barb’s sharing stories from her time on set and singing a selection of pre-industrial ballads – this is one not to be missed.
Jennifer is well known as a performer of broadside ballads – and is also a member of the Society for the Study of Labour History’s executive committee.
Tickets £10/£8 for Friends of Heptonstall Museum.
This is seated event and will include a welcome drink.
Additional donations welcomed.
This is bound to be a really special event. Book early!
