The Road To Heptonstall
2 December 2023 @ 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM GMT

Joined by poets and musicians who met on the set of The Gallows Pole and are excited to return to “Barb’s” for a real one-off who have come together, purely to support the museum.
This will be a unique evening of entertainment and we can’t wait to welcome back …
Ali Shaw belongs to a select group of poets where ink and paper isn’t enough. His heart beats bloodied and bruised as he wears it proudly on his sleeve. A real performer, a real human. Expect a passionate delivery filled with honesty, integrity and what it means to be working class. Poetry isn’t meant to be pretty.
Bonneville – is a pop artist from York who fell in love with Heptonstall when filming on the Gallows Pole. Influenced by soul, classic country songwriting and her pop diva icons. True reflections of life events and her talent shines best live. She will perform a stripped-back piano set from her debut album ‘ Bonneville’ which will be released in the new year.
Rob Galloway – best known as the frontman of high energy rock and roll band ‘ The Yalla Yallas ‘. Over his career he has toured Europe and performed at Glastonbury and had one of his songs board a spaceship to the moon. In this special acoustic set you should expect a charismatic performance filled with on point lyrics and infectious choruses.
David Holmes – or the rebel poet as he’s more affectionately known, delivers his unique brand of observational and political poetry , mix that with humorous story telling, quick wit and you too will be reminiscing of the glory days of free school milk.
Tickets are £8 for Non-Members/£5 for Members
