Ink and Artefacts: Heptonstall’s Living Tapestry

Heptonstall Museum has received funding from Culturedale (Calderdale Council’s Year of Culture campaign) to deliver an ambitious programme of creative workshops and community history, culminating in an exhibition at the museum in 2025.

This exhibition will bring together precious objects loaned by our community to tell the stories of this ancient village – shining a light on lesser known and personal connections to our history.

A series of creative workshops under the banner of Ink & Tapestry will be led by experienced creative practitioners, with the focus on storytelling and developing creative understandings of artefacts and histories.

As well as helping our community tell their stories, the workshops will also look to encourage the loan of objects for the exhibition. We hope the creative results of the workshops themselves will be included in our forthcoming exhibition.

See our Events Page for our exciting events to get involved.
